Bush has always been amazing, but now he is officially insane. I have never watched 1 dude (non QB) account for 513 yards in a game, and I don't think I ever will again.
What a shame that 95% of the nation did not watch this. How many stories, opinions, & posts next week will start with "I didn't see the game, but..."
It might almost be helpful to Bush because so many people will have missed it the performance will become mythical.
He had my Heisman vote last year, and I think this game just about sealed it for this year.
On the replay as FoxSports cut away to other programs after the game, its hard to tell but on the 50 yard touchdown replay it looks like Bush switches the ball behind his back right as he's making that ridiculous cut back. If that's true that's just sick.
Confused?
- same record
- both have beat up on mediocre competition, including one signature team (Boise State, Michigan) that isn't nearly as good as its name this year
- signature game for each is a close loss to USC (except FSU did it in LA; ND did it in South Bend)
- the other loss for each:
* FSU barely loses to 10-1, #10 Oregon at Autzen, one of the hardest places in the country to play
* ND pulls close late against P.O.S. Michigan State, again in South Bend.
For once, can college football reward a team that takes any challenge it can to overcome its conference schedule? Or at least, can we not reward ND for being good 50 years ago?
