UCLA fans - violent and hateful, even when they win.  The bitterness towards USC is a sickness that plagues the campus and extends to the internets.

That sounds REAL questionable. I've been to six or seven games at the Rose Bowl over the past two seasons and never seen anything like that. Obviously there is bad blood between these teams, but I find it hard to believe that a mob of UCLA fans jumped some Trojan fans unprovoked in the middle of that crowded golf course parking lot.

It's possible. The Rose Bowl parking area/golf course is huuuuuge and at night it's next to impossible to see anything.

The SC-UCLA game just shows that the Pac-10 conference schedule is again the toughest in the nation. Even the second tier teams are quality teams. Any team that makes it through the Pac-10 undefeated should be in the BCS Championship game, regardless of their OOC schedule, because the conference slate is just too tough.

Oops, I think I accidently tped "Pac-10" instead of "SEC," "SC" instead of "insert top SEC team," and "UCLA" instead "insert SEC weak sister." Is there an edit feature on this?

Bruins Nation does not speak for all Bruins fans, nor do all Bruins fans behave as alleged. Unfortunately, you can find a lot of ugliness in sports fans, especially frustrated ones.

I think there was a murder after the Clemson-USC game this year. And before Auburn-Alabama last year, some kid stabbed like 8 people at a fraternity house (it was somehow game-related).

But to be honest, I don't mind letting the Pac-10 be #1 at idiotic violent fans.

It'd be different if fucla was use to winning. But they aren't. So the biggest victory for them in 10 or so years is going to make people who are already drunk and angry just go over the edge. On my way back to the car I saw a group of about 10 ucla fans (fit the ex-raider profile... hey I thought they were all USC fans now??!?) walking around the golf course singing the "hey hey hey, goooood bye" song and mad dogging USC fans who were just trying to get to their cars as fast as possible. Yeah, they don't just get happy after wins, they get mad for some reason. That's what you get with a football program that isn't use to winning anything substantial except their annual bowl game against USC.

And to the guy who is questioning the article. Dude are you serious? CBS published this AND they showed the guy on the local news being interviewed, dude's face was F'd. Do you think the editor is going to write "cut through the eyeball all the way to the Vitreous humor (a jelly-ish inner filling of the eye)" or do you think it's wiser to just use the word "jelly" ?
