HP's back

He decided to give deference to that silly basketball tournament... I can't blame him too much though, he's got basketball bloodlines.

Here's his latest, along with an interesting next month look-ahead at HP.

Good to see the Guru of the Stiff Arm Trophy back in action.

ByTheWay, anyone catching a whiff of Brady Quinn backlash already?  I can't help but wonder if Heisman voters don't pick up a little of that anxiety and hold Quinn to a little more scrutiny than previous preseason favorites.

What is the Brady Quinn backlash? Did I miss something in the college football news world?

Nah, just a vibe I'm getting when I scan the various message boards and talk to people.

That's why I said "catching a whiff", as in, ears to the ground what's the buzz.

Thanks...I thought that I missed something. Any additional thoughts on this "vibe"? I don't scan too many message boards, so I haven't caught any of this. Is there a reason for the vibe? Anti-ND sentiment (there's plenty of that)?

It's just Heisman burnout this early I think, and Quinn's the leading candidate by a mile so people are like "Quinn, arrrrghhhh".

Not much people can do though if he does a great job on the field and lives up to the Heismandments.

Gotcha...I can see that happening. Fortunately for Quinn, many of those outlets that are hyping him are also Heisman voters, so I'm not sure how much the hype would hurt his chances.

Just another sign of the internet times where college football fans need something to talk about and debate during the off-season. And I'm as guilty of it as they come.
